A note from our conductor:
"Here are some tunes we will be reading through on January 7th.

Variation on a Theme by Haydn/ Mark Hindsley
Fantasies on a Theme by Haydn/ Della Jolio (My original thought was just to find all Themes and Variation, but got distracted with other good stuff.)

Eternal Father, Strong and Brave
A Childs’ Dream by Maslanka (if I can find a score!)
H. M Jollies by Alford
Ben Hur Overture
Don Juan
Give Us This Day - Maslanka
If you have not attended this in the past, a little more information may help. I try to pick out music that is rarely done by local bands. Some of the music is too hard and some is old and has been forgotten. We also read some new compositions. The difficulty level starts at level 4 and stays in the 5 range, with a few level 6. We may need stands, so bring along your music stand, of course have your name on it.
This is open to the public of all ages and abilities. I would suggest good high school readers, college and on up. Admission is free. If you know other musicians, please forward this to them!
Musically Yours,
Thomas B. Shaffer"
