Alexandra Krause

East Chapel Hill High School

Performing:  Concerto for Two Flutes in C Major by Vivaldi

Bio: I began playing the flute when I was seven years old at the Suzuki School of Elgin, Illinois. In Illinois, I played in statewide competitions and contests, showcases, and have been performing at various venues since the age of seven. I was a member of the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra. Upon moving to North Carolina, I participated in the Central District Honors Band. I am currently in the band and orchestra at East Chapel Hill High School. Being able to perform with the Durham Community Band is a great honor and opportunity, and I look forward to it.

Lucy Wu

East Chapel Hill High School

Performing:  Concerto for Two Flutes in C Major by Vivaldi

Bio:  I have been playing flute for about seven years. I really enjoy music and am a member of my school's band and orchestra, as well as running a club that arranges student music performances in places in the community like retirement homes and hospitals. I have also been a member of multiple all-district and all-state honors ensembles. Flute has been a huge part of my life for a long time, and I'm really excited to be able to play with the Durham Community Band.
